How to Set Up a Crypto Wallet at Coinbase

This is the default wallet you get when you open a Coinbase account. Coinbase holds your crypto for you, like a bank.
Go to coinbase.com
Click “Get Started” and create an account
Enter your name, email, and strong password
Verify your email address
Complete identity verification (KYC) with your ID
Secure your account
Enable 2-step verification (2FA) with your phone
Add a payment method
Link a bank account, debit card, or PayPal (varies by country)
Buy crypto
Once set up, go to “Buy/Sell” to purchase crypto like Bitcoin or Ethereum
Your crypto is stored in your Coinbase wallet
You can see your holdings on your dashboard
Coinbase holds the private keys (you don’t manage them)
You can send crypto to others
Just put their wallet address into the designated area
