Instructions
Everyone can take our courses. To take a course, look through our offerings - take as many self-directed classes as you wish.
Each topic is presented in essays, or videos, reports, proposals, and infographs. Read or watch everything required and do the assignment posted at the top or bottom of each topic.
Essays need to be at least 400 words long.
After you complete each assignment, email it to HumanistMutualAid@gmail.com
A supervisor will examine your work. If it is complete you might be eligible for a monetary prize.
Eligibility for funding
Only Humanist students are eligible for funding. Humanist students need to prove they are humanists by presenting documentation proving their alignment in a humanist, freethinker or atheist group. We provide funds every 1-2 months.
We are hoping to fund humanist students from African nations that Humanist Mutual Aid Network has never worked in or have only rarely worked in - this includes Botswana, Namibia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Madagascar, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Mali, Morocco, Congo, Gabon, Central African Republic, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Our goal is to give half of our grants to women.
$40,000 will be given to humanist students at The Free HuMAN Academy in 2026.
Awards are given to students for both quantity of classes completed & quality of the essays they write. Enthusiastic and original essays are appreciated.
